The oxygen sensors are mainly used to measure and monitor the O2 concentration of inhaled and/or expired gases in anesthesia and respiratory equipment. The gas concentration is detected based on the principle of electrochemical reaction. When the gas to be measured enters the sensor, the gas molecules react with the redox products on the electrode surface, resulting in current changes that reflect the oxygen concentration. The oxygen concentration is adjusted by comparing the set oxygen concentration with the actual detected oxygen concentration to ensure patient safety and treatment effectiveness.
