DFM100 PHiliphhilip EFFICIA Icu Patient Monitor Nibp Module Parts For Hospital

The NBP module handles the following functions:

    • Inflation and deflation of the NBP cuff.

    • Measure the pressure in the cuff.

    • Detect pressure waveforms and extract systolic and diastolic values from them

    waveform.

    • Calculate mean pressure from waveform, systolic and diastolic data.

The NBP module communicates with the processor PCA over a full-duplex 4800 baud serial link and uses 5V signal.

    NBP Monitoring Problems

Test the Efficia DFM100 NBP module if troubleshooting indications or module performance is uncertain. Experienced and trained Efficia DFM100 users such as nurses or biomedical and clinical engineers can perform NBP tests using the NBP Test Services tool.

To perform the Efficia DFM100 NBP module tests, you need:

    • NBP testing service tool (453564501961)

NOTE: Only qualified service personnel should perform NBP testing procedures.

    NBP Accuracy Test

    Perform NBP accuracy test:

1 Access the Service Mode main menu

2 From the Service Mode main menu, select NBP.

3 The NBP Services screen is displayed You may hear a soft high pitch, which is normal operation of the NBP pump.

4 Connect the NBP test kit to the DFM100

5 Squeeze the manometer pump and apply a pressure of 150mmHg.

6 Observe the pressure displayed on the screen and record this result as X1. value should be 150 mmHg ± 3 mmHg.

7 Squeeze the manometer pump and apply a pressure of 250mmHg.

8 Observe the pressure displayed on the screen and record this result as X2. This value should be 250mmHg ± 3mmHg.

9 Press Stop Test to stop the test.

10 If the difference between the pressure gauge and the displayed value is greater than 3 mmHg, replace the NBP module.

11 If the results are as described, the device passes the accuracy test. Press the Main Service softkey to return to the Service Mode Main menu.

    NBP Safety Features

NBP modules are equipped with overvoltage safety features to prevent patient injury and equipment damage.

    NBP overpressure

NBP module overpressure occurs when the cuff pressure reaches 295 mmHg. Do not increase the pressure in the cuff above 280 mmHg during the test.

The safety function causes the valve to open and the pressure to drop.

    leak test

Regardless of your configuration settings, mmHg is the unit of pressure measurement in the calibration of the Efficia DFM100.

Test the NBP module for leaks:

1 Squeeze the manometer pump and apply pressure

    250mmHg/33.3Kpa/333mb/4.83psi/0.329atm/9.84inHg.

2 Wait 30 seconds for the pressure in the device to equilibrate.

3 Observe the displayed pressure for 60 seconds.

4 Record the pressure drop at the end of 60 seconds.

5 If the pressure drops more than 6 mmHg, there is a leak. Replace the tubing and chamber assembly and try the leak test again. If the pressure still drops by more than 6 mmHg, begin troubleshooting and repair the equipment as needed.

Release the pressure in the chamber before proceeding to the next test.

    NBP Check

    1. Perform a non-invasive blood pressure check on yourself or another person.

    2. Make sure the measurement completes.

    3. Perform the NBP module tests only if you suspect a problem with the module.
