Replacing the Display Flexible Assembly

The Dash3000 display assembly includes the flex assembly.

1. Remove the display and arm assembly.

2. Replace the monitor assembly and reassemble the patient monitor in the reverse order of removal.

Dash4000 Sharp and 5000 Display Flexible Assembly

1. Remove the handle assembly.

2. Remove the monitor unit from the main body.

NOTE: When attaching the display bracket to the main body, use a thick book or weight to support the display assembly.

3. Disconnect the display ribbon cable.

4. Plug the new ribbon cable connector into the connector on the monitor as shown below.

5. Secure the ribbon cable to the monitor assembly using the two thumbscrews from the kit.

6. Bend the monitor curve slightly as shown.

7. Lift the display assembly and support it between the main unit and a thick book.

8. Carefully secure the processor ribbon cable connector to the main processor board using the two thumbscrews from the kit.

9. Align the pins of the DAS cable and gently insert it into the DAS assembly until the latch snaps into place.

10. Reassemble the patient monitor in the reverse order of removal.
